Slide Switch Connection Arduino

Connect one pin at one end to pin 12.
Slide switch connection arduino. Limit switch wiring with arduino. There are two things we can detect with an arduino. Finally add the slide switch which has three positions and two resistors. This example demonstrates the use of a pushbutton as a switch.
Connect the gnd pin from the arduino to the black rail on the breadboard with a black jumper wire. Slide switch 1 is connected to arduino pins 40 and 41 both active high. A limit switch is connected in series with a 10k ohm resistor. This is a pull up resistor.
Now add the second pushbutton switch and resistor which increments the minutes. When it slides down pin 41 is high while both are low when the switch is in the middle. Here is an illustration of why toggle switches generally seem to work backwards as compared to slide switches. As you can see in the circuit diagram the limit switch wiring with the arduino uno or mega is really simple.
The slide switch is a device to connect or disconnect the circuit by sliding its handle. Connect the middle pin of the spdt switch to pin 8 on the arduino. Slide switch 2 is connected to pins 42 and 43 and works in a similar manner as slide switch 1. We have previously learned how to use a button to turn on off the led.
Which of the outer pins on the switch that you connect to depends on which one of the toggle switch positions you wish to be closed. Most switches are simple mechanical devices that basically make a connection between two inputs. It should be connected to digital pin 8. In this tutorial we will be using a standard tact switch.
Here we use a slide switch to control the on off of an led which is simple. That same leg of the button connects through a pull down resistor here 10k ohm to ground. Connect the middle pin of the switch to vcc. Connecting the switch to power and the arduino.
The third wire goes from digital pin 2 to one leg of the pushbutton. Connect three wires to the board. Detect when the switch is pressed or not. The first two red and black connect to the two long vertical rows on the side of the breadboard to provide access to the 5 volt supply and ground.
Each time you press the button the led or whatever is turned on if it s off or off if on. You can see that the electrical connections for the slide switch are very similar to the two pushbutton switches. It also debounces the input without which pressing the button once would appear to the code as multiple presses. A tact switch is a momentary mechanical switch that makes a connection when the switch is pressed.
After connecting a 10k resistor and a 104 capacitor connect it to gnd to let the switch output stable level. This means that when the switch is slid up pin 40 is high. Connect the 3 3v power from the arduino to the red power rail of the breadboard using a red jumper wire. A push button on pin 2 and an led on pin 13.
Flip it one way the center pin is connected to the outer pin on the opposite side.
